Reconomy Joint Annual Partners Meeting 2024

On December 13, 2024, the Strategic Development Agency (SDA) NGO hosted its joint annual partners meeting in Yerevan as part of the “Digitizing Sectors for Competitiveness” (RECONOMY) initiative. RECONOMY is an inclusive and green economic development program of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in partnership with Strategic Development Agency NGO and others in the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkan regions.

Representatives from RuralCoop Support Foundation and Farm Credit Armenia UCO CC participated to reflect on the collaboration that began a year ago. Mariam Gabrielyan, Executive Director of RuralCoop, presented the achievements of a groundbreaking project initiated in partnership with Farm Credit Armenia (FCA), RuralCoop, and SDA. This joint effort focuses on enhancing sector competitiveness through digitization, paving the way for a more efficient and inclusive agricultural ecosystem in Armenia.

A key milestone of this collaboration is the development of an innovative digital tool that simplifies the loan application process for farmers. This solution enables farmers to apply for loans directly at agricultural supply shops, securing financing for their purchases with ease and allowing them to promptly begin their agricultural activities. This transformative tool exemplifies the commitment of RuralCoop and its partners to leveraging technology for sustainable growth in the agricultural sector. The project continues to build momentum, with the official product launch planned for 2025.
